Ángela Méndez (she/her/hers) is a proud Chicana from Brooklyn, NY. She currently works as a 2nd grade teacher in New York City and loves embedding social justice topics into her classroom discussions. To her, education is more than learning how to read and write; true education is action towards social justice on a global scale. Some fun facts about Ángela is that she is a spoken word artist, loves salsa and bachata, and is obsessed with musicals.
