Deep Dive: The Power of Pride Counselor

Izzy (they/them) is an organizer, roller skater, and dog parent living in Missoula, Montana. They graduated from The New School in 2019 with a degree in Theater and a minor in Gender Studies, and are especially interested in the ways in which performance can be a vehicle for connection, education, and change. They work at youth-led civic engagement nonprofit Forward Montana as an LGBTQ2S+ equality organizer, working to create sustained networks of support for queer and trans Montanans in the face of a hostile state government. Izzy is inspired by the power of young people, the unmatched rewards of real connection, and the deep belief that we all have the potential to make positive change in our communities.
