Sadiq believes that “when adults run out of answers, they start blaming children.” Sadiq Ali serves as Executive Director for MENTOR Maryland | DC, the region’s affiliate of MENTOR: The National Mentoring Partnership, whose mission is to increase the quality and quantity of mentoring relationships and to close the mentoring gap while centering youth voice and race equity. Locally, Sadiq sits on a number of boards and advisory groups including My Brother’s Keeper Baltimore, Baltimore’s Campaign For Grade-Level Reading, and the Maryland Out of School Time Network. Sadiq is also a 5-time author, frequent keynote presenter and facilitator, trained mediator, and Results-Based Accountability practitioner. He was also recently appointed to the Governor’s Commission for Service and Volunteerism, advocating for everyone to get more involved in service. Through his organizations, Maryland MENTOR and Millionaire Manners Academy, he speaks to and works with hundreds of parents, program leaders, and young people annually who are passionate about making our world better. He takes pride in being a father and husband and working and living in Baltimore.
