Summer 2021 Support Team

Shay (she/her) is from San Jose, California and is a student at Claremont McKenna College. She loves reading stories centered around various social issues, which has inspired her work in the social justice field. Shay has helped organize a backpack drive for refugees, spread autism awareness in her community, and created a self-defense program for young women. She is passionate about sex education and has been trained as a peer educator at Planned Parenthood. She is currently a member of Advocates, a student-led organization dedicated to fighting the threat of sexual assault. Shay loves folk-rock music, tote bags, fruit snacks, and Pinterest.
